Installed in the Beautiful City Hall Council Chamber
The Brush Art Gallery & Studios is soliciting art from Lowell-based artists
to be installed in the newly-renovated City of Lowell Council Chamber
Please read the following carefully before submitting your work for consideration.
- You must be a Lowell-based artist. This means that you live in and/or have studio in Lowell and/or you are a member in good standing of a Lowell arts organization (119 Gallery, A.L.L., Appleton Mills, Brush Gallery, Western Avenue Studios/Lofts, Whistler House Museum of Art/Lowell Art Association)
- There is no cost to you for submitting your work for consideration
- This is an historic building with certain aesthetic and space limitations, so there are rules to which we must adhere when selecting work:
- work must be original (no copies, giclees, etc.)
- work must be two dimensional (oil/acrylic on canvas, photographs may be printed on canvas, works on paper must be matted in white)
- work must be realistic (i.e. not abstract)
